Here's an excellent Rosé from young Angus Vinden in the Hunter Valley. After tinkering away with 10 different ferments during vintage in the pursuit of the classic pale, dry Rosés made famous from the south of France he finally settled on this whacky blend. It's made up of Tempranillo, Semillon, Shiraz, & Gewürztraminer with some lees from the Vinden Chardonnay barrels lending a bit of x-factor to the final wine.
The spice and juicy red fruits cut with the racy acidity of the Semillon - the wine works a treat. This is spot on for the modern lover of dry, savoury Rosé.
